With the rapid progress of machining technology product becomes smaller, functional and more diverse. Especially, a demand for micro scale product is increasing with the development of semiconductor, aerospace, and bio-technology applications. Micro-EDM technique can be defined as the electrical discharges which are passed between an electrode and the workpiece being machined. The small amount of material that is removed from the workpiece is flushed away with a continuously flowing fluid (dielectric liquid). The repetitive discharges create a set of successively deeper craters in the workpiece until the final shape is produced. The advantages of the micro-EDM method are its low set-up cost, high accuracy and large design freedom.
